A half pint of vodka every night as she waits for the bus to go home is just to help her get through another day.She knows that she should change her life and if she makes enough money, she figures that she can. Well, call it fate or luck, but she has two job offers the same week. She’s seriously considering working in porn flicks, since the money is good. Her worry is that some bad people from her old life will recognize her. The second offer is to work in a new age shop. The money’s not so great, but it comes with an apartment and real friends.
As is usual is a Jacob Mesmer novel, we meet the decent people, the bad people and the evil people. Serendipity or destiny as they all come together? What’s important is that they all do.
I checked my Kindle and was surprised to see that I have 19 Jacob Mesmer books. Didn’t realize that I had that many, but it’s because they’re easy to read, very enjoyable and worth the money.

Another great job by Jacob Mesmer. I was immediately drawn in and couldn't put it down.
I couldn't put book down. Still don't know what her power other than getting over. Can't wait until sequel soon to discover
Great story. Original and unique. It should have a continuation, though!
I was expecting a good mystery but I got much more.
Shapphire is well written and easy to understand but as soon as you think you know where this is going it surprises you.
I like His writing. Very straight forward with well developed characters and not a lot of extra words.
This is the third book I have read by him and I will read more.
This was yet another hit for Jacob Mesmer! Exciting from the first page to the last, it keeps you on the edge if your seat to the last possible moment! Sapphire starts out as a terrified victim but ultimately finds victory and freedom in a way far more fantastic than anything she could have imagined!
An interesting story that kept me reading until I got to the bottom of the mystery! I was a bit confused for most of the book, but things came together at the end.
This book was interesting! Although sometimes confusing it was a fine read and I enjoyed it very much. An intriguing plot with lots of action and uncommon characters, unusual story. I'd recommend to anyone wanting a good story.
